GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â During Pride month, Grand Rapids is celebrating with different activities in the area for those who identify as LGBTQ+ and for those who are allies of those within the community. One event is focusing on health this year.
Spectrum Healthâs Betty Ford Breast Care Services is offering accessible and inclusive early detection screening through the mobile mammography unit at Baxter Community Center on Saturday, June 12.

The Oman Cancer Association (OCA) is continuing its activities even during the pandemic with all possible safeguards. To make it more dynamic, it has created a director’s position.
For the first time in 21 years, Oman Cancer Association has created a director’s position. The first person to be assigned the job is Faiqa bint Ali al Sinawiyah who assumed office on May 1.
She will report directly to the Board of Directors, assigned as per the elections held on March 31. She brings with her 28 years of experience at the Ministry of Health.

Muscat: Effective 1 May 2021, Faiqa bint Ali Al Sinawi assumed the role of Director of the Oman Cancer Association.
This is a newly created position with Al Sinawi being the first in the association’s 21 -year-history to be appointed to the role. She will report directly to the Board of Directors, who have been assigned as per the elections held on March 31, 2021.
Her responsibilities will include supervision of the Association’s flagship initiatives: the Mobile Mammography Unit (MMU) and Dar Al Hanan (DH) as well as tracking policy implementation across the sectors OCA engages in, in close coordination with the relevant government authorities, our sponsors and partners, as well as management of all programmes and projects underway and forecast for the next 5 years.

Tailgating Against Cancer’s 10th Annual Golf Tournament raises funds for the Stephen Y. Coleman Fellowship in Medical Oncology
KNOXVILLE, TENN. (April 30, 2021) – Tailgating Against Cancer is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for a fellowship in medical oncology with The University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Cancer Institute and the UT Graduate School of Medicine. On Friday, May 14, they will host their 10th Annual Tailgating Against Cancer Golf Tournament at Egwani Farms Golf Course. Founded in memory of Stephen York Coleman, Tailgating Against Cancer finds inspiration in supporting other cancer patients, their families and physicians who take on the battle against cancer.
