BOYLSTON, Mass. - A mystery bird illness is making its way across the country.
There are no documented cases in Massachusetts yet, but wildlife experts are asking people to help prevent it from spreading.
In short, they say birds should be practicing physical distancing.
Dawn Davies, Tower Hill Botanic Garden s horticulture manager, says people can help by emptying bird feeders and removing bird baths.
Davies says the illness seems to be impacting mostly young backyard birds. She says symptoms include eye issues and neurological problems in birds, like disorientation which can be fatal.
