Atwater woman injured in farm accident
A woman was dragged about 400 yards into a farm field by a piece farm equipment Wednesday afternoon in rural Atwater. The 79-year-old woman was air-lifted and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 7:42 am, Apr. 22, 2021 ×
ATWATER – A 79-year-old woman from Atwater was injured Wednesday after being dragged by a piece of farm equipment.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was airlifted for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported around 4:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 18000 block of U.S. Highway 12 Northeast in Gennessee Township.
According to the sheriff’s report, the woman had become tangled in a piece of farm equipment and was dragged about 400 yards into a field.
A 14-year-old female was injured in a snowmobile accident Tuesday afternoon on Green Lake in Spicer.

SPICER A 14-year-old female from New London was injured in a single-snowmobile crash Tuesday afternoon on Green Lake in Spicer when she lost control of the snowmobile she was operating and was thrown from the sled.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff s Office received the report of the crash about 4:27 p.m. Tuesday. According to a news release from the Sheriff s Office, the teen was operating a 2015 Arctic Cat ZR4000 when she lost control on the northeast side of Green Lake as she was heading across the lake.
