Dover plans Town Meeting for May 1 outdoors
Residents will convene on May 1 at 10 a.m. at Nora Searle Field.
Town Administrator Chris Dwelley had recommended an outdoor venue to Town Meeting given the still-tenuous situation around the coronavirus pandemic.
“The COVID situation is still fluid,” said Selectwoman Robyn Hunter during the Board of Selectmen’s meeting on Feb. 25. She asked whether a reduced quorum will be set, similar to last year. Dwelley replied he had yet to see an update from the state.
Selectman John Jeffries said “We should be in good shape by Town Meeting,” given the increased availability of vaccines and continued vigilance about wearing face masks and social distancing.
