Thiruvananthapuram, April 8 : Two time former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who has been suffering from fever for the past two days is likely to be shifted to a hospital in the state capital city.
The 77-year-old top most Congress leader of the state was the most sought after party politician for the past three weeks during the assembly election campaign and was literally travelling across the state.
On election day on April 6, Chandy looked weak and was waiting for his turn to cast his vote at his home turf Puthupally in Kottayam district aiming for his 12th successive electoral victory.

Though his family is preferring to keep him at his house but sources close to him say he might be moved to a private hospital shortly.

Congress veteran and former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Thursday tested positive for the novel coronavirus, party sources said.
Chandy recently contested the April 6 assembly polls from Puthupallyin Kottayam in Kerala.
Earlier,
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tested positive for coronavirus. Vijayan, who had administered the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine last month, confirmed about the infection on Twitter.

Thiruvananthapuram, April 4 : The Kerala state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is fighting a high-stakes battle in the state, might sprung a few surprises in the upcoming state Assembly polls.
While the saffron party has been seen campaigning for the Metroman E. Sreedharan, who is contesting from the Palakkad district, P.K. Krishnadas from the Kattakada Assembly constituency, state BJP President K. Surendran is contesting from two Assembly constituencies Manjeshwar and Konni. BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan from Nemom constituency and actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi from Thrissur district. The BJP might do well in the two constituencies.
