The fabled island of Bali will host of a number of high-profile movie-screenings as the 5th Balinale 2011 International Film Festival gets underway from November 15-20, 2011. The Balinale Film Festival will be held at the Galeria 21 Cineplex, Mal Bali Galeria, Simpang Dewa Ruci at the Kuta Roundabout. The event is designed to offer an opportunity for local directors to showcase their talents to a global audience, while allowing international moviemakers to visit Indonesia and see its potential as a location for filming or story concepts. Coinciding with the 19th Annual ASEAN Summit, which also takes place in Bali in November, this year the festival will feature a special highlight on ASEAN film focus that aims to promote production in the region and expose the talented individuals behind the local film industry. Included in the festival program is a workshop conducted by Gabrielle Kelly, Associate Arts Professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts – Asia. Ms Kelly produced an omnibus
