I think we need to pay close attention to what they re saying, said Thomas Manger, the former police chief in  Montgomery County, Maryland, who was sworn into his new position on Friday. In an interview with CBS News, Manger said he absolutely supports the Capitol Police officers who are slated to speak on Tuesday at the first meeting of the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack.

Manger replaces acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman, who took over after Steven Sund resigned, a day after the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol that left five people dead, including one Capitol Police officer.
