World Poker Tour (WPT) has crowned a champion for the third night in a row. This time it was
Brek Schutten emerging victorious in the
WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown for $1,261,095.
Schutten put on a dominating display eliminating all but one of the players at the final table en route to his first big live poker victory with the seven-figure haul representing most of his more than $1.6 million in live cashes.
In addition to the huge cash prize, Schutten was also awarded a Hublot Big Bang Steel Watch, a set of Baccarat Crystal, and, of course, will have his name engraved on the WPT Champions Cup alongside the WPT Champions from all 18 seasons of the World Poker Tour. The WPT also added $15,000 in cash to the top prize as the WPT TOC has been cancelled this year due to the pandemic.
