Minnesota State Mavericks Season Review
Following this accomplishment, the Mavericks won their first NCAA game in school history, defeating Quinnipiac in overtime. They shut out Minnesota University in the NCAA West Final and reached the Frozen Four for the first time.
Minnesota State eventually fell to St. Cloud, as a goal late in regulation would end the Mavericks hopes of advancing. This season, filled with quarantines, uncertainty, and unprecedented success, was one for the history books. Future Minnesota State University teams will be sure to try and model this one.

Minnesota State Returns Home to Face Bowling Green
The #4/6 Minnesota State Mavericks (9-2-1 overall, 6-0-0 WCHA) return home to play the #8/8 Bowling Green Falcons (16-4-0 overall, 5-1-0 WCHA) this weekend. Puck drop is scheduled for Friday at 8:07 EST and Saturday at 7:07 EST. This upcoming series against Bowling Green is important, as Minnesota State and Bowling Green are fighting for first and second among the WCHA standings.
Minnesota State and Bowling Green sit atop the WCHA standings. The race for first is tight, and at this point in the season, every win matters. With so much on the line, it is expected that there will be a playoff atmosphere accompanying these games.
