Fort Payne Motor Speedway Adds Memorial Day Weekend Extravaganza This Saturday Friday, May 28, 2021 Saturday night the Fort Payne Motor Speedway is hosting a Memorial Day Weekend Extravaganza event. The last minute addition to the 2021 schedule comes for Super Late Models, Crate Late Models and the 602/Sportsman division. They ll be getting a boost in the regular racing purse without increases in admission, nor competition. Rod Carroll of Oxford, Andy Pickelsimer of Ooltewah, Dalton Polston of Lithia Springs and Jordan Rodabaugh of Soddy Daisy have all won in SLM competition so far in 2021. Saturday s race will pay $2,000 to the winner in the tracks top division.

While those years have been filled with community service projects, fundraising efforts and awarding scholarship money to young women in our county, they have also been filled with lots of love, laughter and friendship. When club members learned the news that LeCompte’s husband, Michael, had passed away unexpectedly they were heart-broken for their friend and fellow club member.

UCRA Delivers 2020 Championship Accolades To Elliott, 2021 Dates Announced Sunday, January 24, 2021 - by Steve Hixson Two time United Championship Racing Alliance champion Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland received his earnings and hardware Saturday a week after officials decided to call off the luncheon gathering normally held, due to COVID-19 concerns. Marvin Ford and announcer Chris Regan hand-delivered Elliott his $5,000 winnings to Cleveland, whilst maintaining safe social distancing standards.  Cardwell s Rookie of the Year earnings was delivered and the Knoxville racer will be picking it up later this week. Kenny Kizzar of Soddy Daisy picked up his earnings for finishing third in the National Points Standings. Kizzar is the longest standings racer with the UCRA, beginning with the 604/Crate Late Model competition series on its inaugural season in 2015. Kasey Hall of Alabama will be getting his fourth place earnings later this week.
