MAYFIELD, Ky. (WSIL) Reality is setting in for relatives of a Mayfield family found dead in their home on Sunday.
Brad Lawson is a health and physical education teacher at McCracken County High School and defensive coordinator for the football team.
Lawson is the uncle of victims Kychon and Kyle Milliken, Jr. and brother in-law to Kyle and Ashley Milliken. Lawson is part of a family of four as well. Losing half of the family at one time was pretty devastating to all of us, Lawson said. You don t think it s real. You just don t.
MAYFIELD â Mayfield Independent School District wants to help its students who may be affected by the loss of two of their own.
The district announced it is offering emotional support services after 13-year-old Kjae and 8-year-old Kycohn were killed Sunday morning at their home. The district also will offer parents guidance for explaining loss to their children.
âWe want our kids to know that we are here for them,â Superintendent Joe Henderson said in a news release. âEven with Christmas break, our guidance counselors are available to those students who are hurting that need emotional support. Counselors can also help parents through answering some hard questions.â
