A man who was seen in West Hollywood carrying an unconscious woman into a white van and driving away has been arrested and charged with kidnapping, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday.
A man with gray hair was seen carrying the woman, who had recently left a bar on Melrose Avenue near Robertson Boulevard, into a white 1997 Dodge Ram van about 2 a.m. Friday, said Lt. Jose Aguirre of the Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood substation.
As the van started to pull away, a witness flagged down a passing Sheriff’s Department patrol car and reported what he had seen, Aguirre said.

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - A man arrested for suspicion of kidnapping an unconscious woman in the West Hollywood bar and nightclub area was released from custody today after posting bond.
Fernando Adrian Diaz, 50, was released at 2:19 a.m., according to sheriff s inmate records. His bail was set at $100,000.
Deputy Kevin Herrera of the West Hollywood Sheriff s Station told NBC4 he was alerted by a man who pulled alongside his patrol car about 2 a.m. Friday. He located Diaz s white 1997 Dodge Ram van with a black roof and light bar and found the woman inside ``completely intoxicated, Herrera said. ``She did not know who s van she was in.
