SISB donates 300 survival bags for the needy in Wang Thonglang District

As part of SISB’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, the school donated 300 survival bags containing daily essentials to the needy in Wang Thonglang District.
Mr Kelvin Koh, Chairman of the School Governing Boards, presented the donation to Mr Parut Orahatmanut, Director of Wang Thonglang District Office, and said: “SISB is delighted to be doing our part to help the community we are in, especially in these challenging times.”
The contribution is part of SISB’s extensive efforts to give back to society. Another effort includes the SISB Corporate Social Responsibility English Language Project, carried out for the fifth year in 2020, where SISB teachers, students and staff provide English lessons to students from Thai schools.

More people sought to tap the benefits of the Central Provident Fund (CPF) last year to stretch their savings amid the pandemic s uncertainties.
The number of members who topped up their own or their loved ones CPF retirement savings was nearly 40 per cent higher last year, compared with 2019.
At the same time, people who made voluntary housing refunds nearly tripled over the same period, according to the latest CPF Board figures.
