BATON ROUGE - A pharmacy chain is cleaning up its act after neighbors called in a problem to 2 On Your Side. The grounds were growing out of control at several CVS locations in the Baton Rouge area.
Friday, 2 On Your Side ran a story regarding the lack of upkeep at several CVS stores in the area and it got the attention of the corporate office. The next day, landscaping crews were called out to clean up the issue.

BATON ROUGE - Some people are fed up with the lawns and flowerbeds at some area locations of a pharmacy chain. They say the weeds have been growing for years.
Kelly Elkins is a business owner near the CVS location at Sherwood Forest and Coursey Blvd. in Baton Rouge. For the last three years, she says she s been fighting to get CVS to take care of its property. She thinks it s gone on for far too long.

BECKLEY â All seven members of Beckley Common Council voted in favor of the Crown Ordinance, which aims to protect people of color from hair-based discrimination within city limits.
Council had heard during an April 26 workshop from Dr. Kristi Dumas, a local psychologist and member of the city Human Rights Commission. Dumas urged Council to show support for the cityâs Black residents by passing the Crown Ordinance.
On April 27, during the regular council meeting, the ordinance passed unanimously on the first reading. If it passes on the second reading, at the May 11 meeting, it goes into effect.
