The death has occurred of Patricia Murphy (née Hogan), Bruff.
Peacefully at home. Beloved wife of the late Michael. Dearly loved mother of Mark, Jacqueline, Karl, Eileen, Michael and Ciara. Sadly missed by her loving sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother Paddy, sister Kitty, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
May she rest in peace.
A private Requiem Mass for family will be held in Church of St. Peter and Paul, Bruff, this Wednesday (21st April) at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Adare. Requiem Mass will be live streamed here

In some ways, they’re total opposites. One loves the sea, the other the land. One favoured books in school, the other not so much. One is solemn and reflective, the other witty and forthright.
But still, despite their seeming differences, in the presence of brothers Séamus and Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich, you get the sense they’re on the same wavelength. That they have a connection perhaps only brothers can. It’s evident in their shared love of music, their shared passion for the Irish language and their common wish to keep rural communities vibrant and viable.
KERRY officials insisted there is huge respect for the Irish language in the Kingdom after uproar amongst locals who complained a new housing estate name is effectively meaningless.
Kerry Co Council is now to liaise with the development agency, Clúid, over a new name for a Dingle housing estate located beside one of Ireland s proudest Gaeltacht areas.
The estate was named Páirceanna na Glas - with west Kerry locals furious that, in Irish language terms, the name is effectively meaningless.
One translation is Green Fields or Green Parks .
Kerry County Council chief executive Moira Murrell insisted there was no intention to cause offence or disrespect - and stressed that there was enormous respect for the Irish language throughout the entire county.
A Status Yellow wind warning has also been issued for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Munster, Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo with winds reaching up to 110kmh.
