Nearly 100 metres of path has been destroyed between the Howford Bridge and Cawdor and a memorial cairn erected for a 14 year-old angler is now under serious threat. The popular walk from the seaside to Cawdor is just under six miles and is used by by thousands of ramblers every year. Cawdor Estate have moved swiftly to investigate the reinstatement of the right of way. ....
Police officers hail impact of mobile devices following Aberdeen study PC Julie Nicol with one of the new devices The introduction of mobile devices for police officers on the frontline has improved safety and public confidence, according to research carried out by academics in Aberdeen. Nearly 11,000 response, community and specialist officers across Scotland have been equipped with the technology as part of their operational duties. Since the rollout in 2019, officers are now able to spend more time in the communities they serve, conducting patrols and focussing on crime prevention. It follows research commissioned by Police Scotland and carried out by Robert Gordon University, Abertay University in Dundee and supported by technology firm Motorola. ....
