The Queen spoke with actor Bill Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, telling him It s really marvellous you ve been able to carry on filming during the coronavirus pandemic.
He replied: Well, ma am, you re the one who has carried on.

After the set visit the Queen went to Manchester Cathedral where she met community representatives who have supported those affected by the pandemic.

Queen Elizabeth has left Scotland to return to Windsor for one of her favourite sporting events.
Her Majesty was front and centre at the Windsor Horse Show, an event she has attended nearly every year of her reign.
The monarch was clearly keen to be at the event in person after it was held virtually last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is being held in July this year rather than the usual month of May because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with crowd numbers also cut back.
