Nigeria in talks with AfDB for $500 million innovation fund ― Osinbajo Nigeria in talks with AfDB for $500 million innovation fund ― Osinbajo Share Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said that the Federal Government is currently in talks with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to set up a $500million Innovation Fund. He said the fund which will provide support for the ecosystem across four pillars which include Infrastructure support, Finance, Skills Development and Technical Assistance. Nigeria needs startups ecosystem to address future challenges ― Osibanjo On By Emmanuel Elebeke The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, has identified the startup ecosystem as one of the vital tools in finding solutions to Africa’s various challenges. He affirmed that these challenges will determine if the continent’s future as the next frontier for economic opportunities will fully be realised. The VP made the assertion on Thursday at the Startup and Developer event organised by Google in Abuja. Osinbajo, who was represented by Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mallam Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, said the ideas of Start-Ups from inception has always being to impact, noting that the event brought relevant stakeholders together to collaborate and bring something new to the world or new to an industry.

Osinbajo Wants World Leaders to End Unfair Burdens on Developing Nations

By Deji Elumoye Vice President Yemi Osinabjo has posited that in building a fairer world that takes into account the interest of the poor, the marginalised, and a world that does not impose unfair burdens on developing countries, the principle of fairness must be applied by world leaders in addressing challenges in health, the economy, and other issues. Osinbajo stated this Wednesday at a virtual forum organized by an American Christian University, Liberty University with the theme “Equity for Africa: Transforming the World through Judeo-Christian Values,” and hosted by the university’s School of Business. According to him, the principle of fairness obliges people to strive to build a fairer world, a world which takes account of the interests of the poor and marginalised.

Jack-in-Ghana By Thu Apr 15 2021 So Jack Dorsey, CEO  of Twitter, months after his tweet that  was heard around the continent, carried his business to Ghana and the Giant of Africa is raking because how dare he leave Nigeria with all its resources; human and otherwise to go and land in Ghana where their jollof is rubbish? Maybe him posting a photo of Ghana jollof while on his visit in 2019 was the hint no one took. COVID-19: Osinbajo cautions against vaccine nationalism On Professor Yemi Osinbajo Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says the principle of fairness must be applied by leaders in addressing challenges in health, the economy, and other issues. Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, said that the vice president spoke at a virtual forum organised by a leading American Christian University, Liberty University. The forum with the  theme  “Equity for Africa: Transforming the World through Judeo-Christian Values,” was hosted by the university’s School of Business. He warned that current trends in global  vaccine distribution headed towards vaccine nationalism.
