Delegation of China s Guizhou Province business circles to visit Belarus
MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Guangzhou Andrei Popov visited the city of Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China, BelTA learned from a Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The Belarusian delegation also included a general representative of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, Secretary General of the Guangdong-CIS International Technological Cooperation Union Guo Fengzhi, and representatives of SZAO Industrial Park Development Company in China (Shenzhen).
Andrei Popov met with Deputy Chairperson of the Guizhou Province People s Government Cai Caolin. The sides exchanged visions of prospects of stepping up bilateral cooperation in trade and investments, science and technology, education, healthcare, and tourism. A presentation of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, the special economic zone Bremino-Orsha, and Belarus R&D potential was arranged.
Prospects for setting up China-Belarus innovation center discussed
MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – Consul General of Belarus to Guangzhou Andrei Popov paid a visit to Foshan Industrial Technology Research Institute in Guangdong Province, China, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Foshan institute was established in September 2018 under the auspices of the Guangdong Provincial Academy of Sciences and specializes in applied research for the purpose of further implementation of their results in industrial production. The Foshan institute in partnership with the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is implementing a project to set up the Chinese-Belarusian Innovation Center of Industrial Technology. The project was registered as a resident of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone in September 2020. MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – On 8 December Consul General of Belarus in Guangzhou Andrei Popov visited the city of Shenzhen at the invitation of Director General of Great Stone Industrial Park Development Company Yan Gang, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Consulate General in Guangzhou.
“Negotiations were held with Chairman of China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co Ltd. Yong Jun Xu as well as with Assistant General Manager of China Merchants Group Li Yadong. The parties discussed promising areas of development of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, common approaches and further joint steps to promote it with the participation of China Merchants in the provinces of the consular district of the Consulate General of Belarus in Guangzhou,” the statement reads.
