EDWARDSVILLE Madison County is expected to pay about $460,000 in several controversial contracts signed by outgoing Madison County Recorder Amy Meyer last year.
The board’s Finance and Governmental Operations Committee on Thursday and will be considered by the full board at Wednesday’s County Board meeting.
The contracts, with Fidlar Technologies based in Davenport, Iowa, were signed Oct. 2, 2020, by Meyer. The contracts are for the digitalization of documents in the office.
“We had a big brouhaha about it in the fall, the way those contracts were signed,” Finance Committee member Jamie Goggin, R-Edwardsville, said during Thursday. He added the work was completed and the county was now in a position to approve payment.
