COLOMBO (News 1st): Parliamentary sessions will commence today (Apr. 20) and continue until Friday (Apr. 23).
The decision to commence parliamentary sessions was taken at the meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs held on Monday (Apr. 19), under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, with the participation of party leaders.
In the meantime, four (04) institutions have been summoned before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) and the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) for investigations.
The Football Federation of Sri Lanka has been summoned before the COPE on Thursday (Apr. 22) and the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka on Friday (Apr. 23), Dhammika Dasanayake, the Secretary-General of Parliament told News 1st.

COLOMBO (News 1st): A meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs will be held next Monday (Apr. 19) with the participation of party leaders and under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The meeting will be held at the Parliamentary Complex at 2:00 pm on Monday, the 19th of April, Serjeant-at-Arms, Narendra Fernando said on Friday (Apr. 16).
During the meeting, attention will be drawn to the proposals to be tabled and the bills to be debated in the last parliamentary week of April starting from the 20th.
PCR testing for Parliamentarians and Parliament staff is being conducted now. The health authorities have scheduled to conduct PCR tests in Parliament till 3 pm today.Meanwhile, a meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs is scheduled to be held at 2pm today presided over by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, said the Sergeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando.Special attention
