Though Mean Motor Scooter was the headliner, it was opener Ting Tang Tina who brought the crowd, mostly underagers because the quartet is peopled by rockers too young to imbibe legally. The band still brought the heat, playing its brand of rollicking garage.
Mean Motor Scooter also definitely rocked it. Along with an energetic stage show, the Fort Worth garage-rockers have to be one of the loudest bands in town, which is always a good thing. Blasting out heavy riffs and pulsating bass and drums, MMS was a great way to revel in the fact that shows are back.
Now that mean ol’ COVID-19 appears to be going bye-bye and since most of us non-mouth-breathers have gotten vaccinated, the time is now for some springtime show-going. One new place I haven’t been to yet but am desperate to hit, Tulips (112 St. Louis Av, 817-367-9798) gets the weekend started right. Two of
