IN MARCH OF 2020, LEN AND JUNE BROOKS WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE LAST STOP ON THEIR HAWAIIAN CRUISE WHEN COVID-19 QUICKLY CHANGED THE SHIP’S ITINERARY. 21 PEOPLE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, A DEADLY VIRUS THE BROOKS AND BASICALLY EVERYONE ELSE KNEW NOTHING ABOU WE MADE IT THROUGH QUARANTINE JUST FINE. WE CAME HOME HEALTHY, SAFE. WE HAVE BEEN HEALTHY EVER SINC AND IN ADDITION, WE HAVE SEEN THE CREATION OF THE VACCIN SO, IT’S BEEN QUITE AN EXPERIENCE. SHER FROM MANDATORY QUARANTINE TO THEIR FIRST DOSE OF THE COVID-19 VACCINE, THE BROOKS FEEL BLESSED THAT 11 MONTHS LATER, THEY’VE REMAINED HEALTHY. ON THE DAY WE GOT THE VACCINE, WE JUST RANDOMLY CALLED THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THEY TOLD US THAT THEY HAD BEEN HAVING SOME EXTRA, OR LEFTOVER VACCINE, AND THOUGH THEY COULDN’T PROMISE US ANYTHING IF WE WOULD BE THERE AT 1:00 P.M. WE COULD STAND IN LINE

CULLMAN, Ala. (WAFF) - Alabama is now in the top 10 when it comes to states reporting the highest number of weekly COVID-19 cases.
