Bandits have reportedly abducted about 45 persons in Zamfara communities
The affected communities are Badarawa, Maberaya, Kware and Kurya, all under Shinkafi local government area of the state.
The communities were thrown into despair after a one-day ultimatum given to them by a notorious bandit leader, Turji, to vacate their homes.
According to a source who confirmed the development to Channels Television, the Bandit leader gave the ultimatum over the arrest of his father by a rival bandit group in Kano.
According to him, his father was arrested over cattle the bandit son rustled from another group.
The ultimatum expired on Friday when the attack occurred.

Gunmen under the control of Turji, a notorious bandits’ leader in Zamfara, are on rampage, abducting villagers and travellers in the Shinkafi Local Government Area of the state.
The attacks, which started on Friday, are in reaction to the arrest of Turjiâs father, Daily Trust reports.

About 150 persons have been taken hostage by the group in the last 24 hours.
Sources said security agents picked up Turjiâs father in Kano about two weeks ago and his whereabouts have remained unknown.
Kurya, Keta, Kware, Badarawa, Marisuwa, Maberaya are among the villages that were sacked on Friday.
Our correspondent reports that communities in Kware district in Shinkafi Local Government Area of the state are now living in fear as the notorious bandits’ leader wrote and asked them to vacate their homes or face dire consequences.
Turji is also said to have listed about 32 villages in different districts of Shinkafi for attacks, blaming the residents for conspiring with security operatives against his family.
Dozens of residents, including women and children, our correspondent gathered, have left their homes and are taking shelter in relatively safer places in Shinkafi town.

Gunmen suspected to be armed bandits on Friday unleashed terror attacks on over ten communities in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, displacing villagers in their hundreds, DAILY POST gathered.
A source told our correspondent that the attack came a few days after security agencies allegedly arrested the father of one of the bandits’ leaders whose name was given as Turji from Kano State.
According to the source, the bandits’ leader sent a red signal, threatening that unless his father who was detained is released, the people of Shinkafi and neighbouring areas would not celebrate a happy Sallah with relatives.
