This is an exciting opportunity to lead an editorial team at one of the UK’s longest-established independent weekly newspaper titles, working across print and online platforms to produce a rich offer of breaking news, features, sport and more.

Cumbrian businesses are being encouraged to apply for next year’s instalment of the Queen’s Award after the success of a firm in the county this time around. Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership is encouraging local firms to apply for the 2022 Queen’s Award for Enterprise after it was announced last week.

The successful applicant will deliver locally-focused news, features and online content for the
Keswick Reminder, based in the heart of the Northern Lakes, as well as Barrnonâs sister publications the
Cumberland & Westmorland Herald and the Cumbria Crack website.
You must be confident in all areas of news gathering and able to work accurately and to deadline.
The role is 2.5 days per week, with some flexibility required, and offers a competitive salary.
