Died peacefully on 26th June at Horsfall House, Minchinhampton, aged 83 years. A much loved Aunt, who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her. Although restrictions are easing, due to social distancing at Gloucester Crematorium the funeral will be held on Monday 12th July by family invitation, to be followed by an open celebration of Val’s life closer to her home, to be arranged later this Summer. Jean Diana Mrs Jean Diana Gulwell died peacefully 22 June 2021 at Beech House Nursing Home. A Lifetime Thornbury resident, Jean was born 9 March 1932, daughter to Denis and Norah Lily Thompson and sister to Edward and Brian. Educated at Thornbury Grammar School in her early years she worked with her parents at Thompson’s Bakery of Thornbury. Later she worked as a legal secretary. Unlike her brothers she never moved away, instead remaining at home devoting time to care for her parents, uncles and aunts in their later years. In 1973 Jean married her husband Lesley Gulwell at St Helens on Gloucester Road. They continued an active participation in Thornbury life going on to successfully establish L & J Gulwell’s Funeral Directors which continues to serve the Thornbury community today.

Kathryn Linda Sadly passed away with her loving family by her side, on 18th June 2021, aged 58, after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife to Keith, mother to Kieran, Kerys and Keafan and grandmother to Emily, Molly, Theo, Owen and Riley. Passed away at Cirencester Hospital on the 15th April 2021, aged 90 years. Much loved Husband of the late Jean, Father to Jacky and Lee, Grandfather to Adam and Great Grandfather to Vinnie and Jaxson. A sportsman all his life - boxing in the Navy, playing Rugby for Hoffmans, Painswick and Cainscross before taking up running with Stroud District A.C. A true inspiration who will be sorely missed by all of his friends and family. Private family service to be held at Gloucester Crematorium, Wednesday 5th May 2021 at 12.30pm. Family flowers only.
