Mahoning County Jr. Fair preps for 175th Canfield Fair
During its virtual February meeting, the Mahoning County Junior Fair Board discussed ideas and activities to celebrate the 175th Canfield Fair.
Members were advised that the annual flower sale would be an online sale only this year and orders will be accepted until May 1, 2021. The Junior Fair Board will be helping at the upcoming Junior Fair County Livestock Meetings and the Horse Symposium in late March to be held at the Event Center.
Election of the 2021 officers will take place at the April 15 meeting. The Junior Fair Board will meet again at 7 p.m. March 18.
The British Society of Animal Science (BSAS) has announced plans to run its first-ever virtual conference.
Organisers have big hopes for the conference titled ‘The Challenge of Change – The New Normal?’ and say this year’s virtual event is “set to eclipse all previous successes”.
The conference will cover cutting edge research in animal science, agriculture, policy, education, and knowledge exchange, making BSAS the leader of the international debate on the challenge of change and adapting to the new ‘normal’, post-Covid-19 and Brexit.
Going virtual has allowed the society to reach further than ever before, securing animal science experts from all corners of the globe.
