Sign Up Five men have been reported to the procurator fiscal following a crackdown on domestic abuse in Aberdeen. The two-day operation took place in the Tillydrone and Seaton areas of the city with the men reported for breaching conditions imposed by courts. As part of the operation, which began on Thursday, a sixth man also appeared at Aberdeen Sherriff Court from custody regarding a warrant linked to a domestic incident. Police have said that victims have been put in touch with support services in the area.

Tyler Leisk, who was jailed in 2019 for a “prolonged and sustained” two-day violent attack on his former girlfriend, was set free on a supervised release order (SRO) in August last year. But after leaving prison he proceeded to bombard his mother with scores of “terrifying” text messages and calls. Aberdeen Sherriff Court heard the 21-year old told her in one message that a “dangerous game” was starting and that she “better weigh her options”.

Stuart McKenzie appeared at Aberdeen Sherriff Court yesterday and admitted storing a bag containing nearly 90 grams of cocaine, measuring scales and self-sealing bags at his Forrest Avenue flat. The court heard police raided two properties on January 3, 2020 and discovered a holdall of cocaine with an estimated street value of between £7,779 – £11,100. A second man is due in court over the supply of the drugs found.
