A 2-year-old child was randomly struck in the face by a 20-pound suitcase in Lower Manhattan and her traumatized mother is exclusively sharing their story with Eyewitness News.
It happened at Bowery and Stanton Street Monday around 7 p.m.
The child s mother had just left the playground and was pushing her baby in a stroller when she was whacked in the face.
Police responded to a 911 call of an assault and determined that a 30-year-old male unprovoked and no words exchanged threw the 20-pound suitcase at the young girl.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Shaquil Mack.
A road rage incident turned deadly for a young father. Now authorities hope a big reward will bring answers to this murder.
It happened at 52nd and Warren streets in West Philadelphia around 9 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019.
Police are looking for a car captured on surveillance video involved in the murder. It is a dark blue newer model Chrysler 300 last seen fleeing south on 52nd Street.
Police said the Chrysler almost collided with Mack s GMC Terrain.
They said Mack exited his vehicle and exchanged words with the driver of the Chrysler. That is when, they said, the 25-year-old was shot and killed.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) Philadelphia police are asking for the public s help finding a killer.
On Friday, July 3, on a sunny summer day, people would have been outside at 7:19 p.m. along the 1200 block of South 24th Street in the Point Breeze section, and that is what authorities are hoping. The 17th district police responded to a core hospital case on the highway. Upon their arrival, there was nobody there, but there was a crime scene, said Santo Montecalvo of the Citizens Crime Commission.
Ahmad Morales, 24, had been shot multiple times, but a private vehicle took him to the hospital before police got there.
