Four out of every 10 tourism jobs in New Zealand were lost over the past year, a survey has found.
The survey by Tourism Industry Aotearoa also found tourism businesses have on average seen their revenues cut almost in half.

Data released today by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) shows there were 486 less lifestyle property sales (-20.0%) for the three months ended March 2021 than for the three months ended February 2021. Overall, there were 1,946 lifestyle property sales in the three months ended March 2021, compared to 1,794 lifestyle property sales for the three months ended March 2020 (+8.5%), and 2,432 lifestyle property sales for the three months ended February 2021.

Data released today by the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) shows there were 486 less lifestyle property sales (-20.0%) for the three months ended March 2021 than for the three months ended February 2021.Overall, there were 1,946 lifestyle property sales in the three months ended March 2021, compared to 1,794 lifestyle property sales for the three months ended March 2020 (+8.5%), and 2,432 lifestyle property sales for the three months ended February 2021.
8,974 lifestyle properties were sold in the year to March 2021, 1,785 (24.8%) more than were sold in the year to March 2020. The value of lifestyle properties sold was $8.60 billion for the year to March 2021.
