RANCHI: The Jharkhand Rajya Kisan Sangharsh Samanway Samiti (JRKSSS), an umbrella organization of farmers’ bodies in the state, on Sunday paid tribute to the farmers who lost lives recently while protesting against the three new farm laws on the second anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack.
JRKSSS also announced that it will join the nationwide rail rokko stir called by farm unions across the country on February 18. Earlier on Saturday, the samiti held its maiden mahapanchayat at the Rahe block here on the lines of the congregations held in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to mobilise farmers against the farm laws.

RANCHI: Jharkhand Rajya Kisan Sangharsh Samanvaya Samiti (JRKSSS), an umbrella organisation of farmer bodies, on Saturday held a kisan mahapanchayat here while Congress took out ‘padyatras’ across the state to demand the withdrawal of three farm laws passed by the Centre.
Speaking at the mahapanchayat at Rahe, state convenor of JRKSSS, Sufal Mahto, said, “The farm laws are a death warrant for the farmers and our agitation will continue till they are withdrawn. The Centre’s approach towards the agitation is suppressive from the very beginning.”
General secretary of the Jharkhand Rajya Kisan Sabha, Surjeet Sinha, claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government wants the destruction of the farmers’ community.

Jaipur: To extend support to the farmers’ stir in Delhi, farmers from Rajasthan are staging protests at Jaisinghpur Khera, near Shahjahanpur in Alwar district, at the Rajasthan-Haryana border, under the leadership of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS).
Kisan Mahapanchayat and Kisan Sangharsh Samiti are among several farmers’ groups actively participating in the protests in Rajasthan. Protestors, mostly farmers across the state, have blocked roads, tolls, and burnt effigies of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to register their opposition against the farm laws.

Patna, Dec 29 : Hundreds of farmers reached Patna on Tuesday and assembled near the Gandhi Maidan before they took out a mega march to the Bihar Raj Bhawan.
District administration had placed barricades at Gandhi Maidan to prevent those already camping there for the last few days. Now with the added reinforcement more barricades was set up to block the farmers march from the historic ground.
