HAMDEN In the wake of a disagreement over a plan to hire security guards for COVID-19 screenings, Hamden’s town buildings have begun reopening to the public.
Last spring, Hamden joined municipalities across the state and closed the doors of its government buildings due to the threat of COVID-19. But as other town halls and libraries reopened with restrictions, Hamden’s remained shut.

NEW HAVEN A clinic has been postponed and Yale New Haven Hospital is changing appointments Tuesday after the Centers for Disease Control and Food and Drug Administration called for a pause in the distribution of the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine.
The city announced that it would postpone a clinic, which was to be held at Casa de Oracion y Adoracion at 555 Columbus Ave., until Wednesday.

HAMDEN, CT In light of the recommendation of health officials to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, Hamden is canceling Tuesday s vaccine clinic at the Keefe Community Center, Mayor Curt Balzano Leng announced.
The clinic had been scheduled for 12 noon to 6 p.m. at the Keefe Community Center.
Leng said more information will be forthcoming about plans for the rest of the week.
