âCanning has been a real learning experience, but it is very humbling to see the excitement in the taproom and in the marketplace for the Double Shift brand. It makes it worth the effort.â said Jon Conway, head brewer and graphic designer at Double Shift, 412 E. 18th St. in Kansas City.

Thereâs so much lore surrounding St. Patrickâs Day.
Did you know, for instance, that Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, never
actually drove snakes out of Ireland and into the sea while standing on top of a hill?
Also, did you know that Saint Patrick is credited with explaining the Holy Trinity by using a three-leaf clover, which is why the shamrock is associated with the holiday?

Did you know that the ancient Sumerians venerated Ninkasi, the goddess of beer, who along with her eight siblings was tasked with healing the Sumerian god of water who was on his deathbed? There’s even a hymn commemorating Ninkasi that dates back thousands of years, which also functioned as a beer recipe.

Kansas Citians have an extra pep in their step after the Kansas City Chiefs punched their tickets to their Super Bowl, where they will be facing Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“But Marco, what does this mean for me?” you ask. “What does this mean for beer?”
Well, if last year is any indication, taprooms in the metro will be hosting watch parties though there will be safety precautions in place, because of the pandemic. And breweries will release new, tasty beers in the days leading up to the game. This means you have plenty of time to try the best beer that Kansas City has to offer before the big day.
