The East Liverpool Calcutta Area Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the East Liverpool Country Club. The plant sale is open to the public. The sale will feature locally grown perennials and annuals, herbs and hand made Mother’s Day gifts. There will be a raffle for two items: a vertical sustainable herb garden and a painting done of the time capsule at Thompson Park by prospective garden club member and local artist Christa McIntosh. Master gardeners will be available to answer questions and assist shoppers in choosing the appropriate plants for their gardens. EAST LIVERPOOL The East Liverpool-Calcutta Area Garden Club met at the East Liverpool Country Club. Twenty-four members were present along with five prospective members.
They discussed the upcoming plant sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 8 at the East Liverpool Country Club. Plans are being made to make this year’s sale unique with special items to sell for Mother’s Day. Featured is a vertical sustainable garden and hand painted porch signs. The club also will feature annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and other plants.
Profits from the sale will be earmarked for a project at Thompson Park.
