Ypsilanti police silent on two recent homicides

YPSILANTI, MI – There have been two homicides reported in Ypsilanti within a week of each other, and police have not released any details about either to the public.
Police are investigating a shooting death that occurred April 4 at the Citgo gas station, 505 S. Huron Ave., as well as an additional shooting death that occurred April 10 at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Leforge Road.
MLive/The Ann Arbor News reached out to Police Chief Tony DeGiusti and his command staff requesting information about the recent homicides. Those messages have not been returned.

The Eastern Michigan Police sent out an email to all students and staff Sunday afternoon about a shooting that occurred just south of campus on the 200 block of Normal Street. No injuries have been reported. Police learned that two individuals had discharged a firearm and struck a house.
