AEP services all of South Texas, parts of West Texas and North Texas east of the Panhandle. At the apex of this crisis Tuesday morning, 468,000 of their customers were left without power. As of 10:15 a.m. Thursday, 124,000 customers are still without, according to a news release. ....

Custody records show that Adrian Arturo Rodriguez, 24, posted bond on Friday. He had been arrested on Tuesday on the charge of murder and served with a warrant for a shooting that occurred in November. Regarding the homicide, Laredo police responded to multiple reports of shots fired at about 10:23 p.m. Jan. 11, in the 4700 block of Sunrise Court. First officers on the scene requested an ambulance for a man located at the end of the cul-de-sac lying face down in a pool of blood and bleeding from the back of the head, according to an arrest affidavit. ....
