On Wednesday, Cleveland Metroparks officially unveiled Red Line Greenway, an all-purpose trail that stretches nearly two miles and links the area around W. 65th Street to Irishtown Bend and the West Bank of the Flats.
Wednesday s opening was celebrated by a ribbon cutting at the trail access point on Columbus Road where Cleveland Metroparks was joined by project partners and supporters including LAND studio, The Trust for Public Land, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA), Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), and Cleveland Rotary Club.

The Rev. Mark Stephen Abbott, 61, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, following a brief illness.
Born in Seaford, Del., he was called to the ministry as a teenager and became an ordained bishop in the Church of God and an evangelist in his native Delmarva-D.C. region.
He served as pastor of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Church from 1981-1986 and the Milwaukee Metro Church of God from 1986-1990. At 27, he was appointed state director of Youth and Christian Education for the Church of God in Wisconsin/Upper Michigan, a position he also held in the Pacific Northwest, South Georgia, and Alabama regions, before being elected to the assistant director of Youth and Christian Education in 2000 and the director’s role in 2004. Other leadership roles include state overseer for Indiana as well as state evangelism director in the various regions in which he served.
