Akron s Good Park housing development plans fall groundbreaking

In the midst of a red-hot market for residential real estate, another Akron housing development is preparing to break ground this year.
The Residences at Good Park, an 82-unit development that Akron s Alpha Phi Alpha Homes has been planning since 2018, should break ground this fall, said the company s executive director, Tom Fuller. We ve been working on the private financing. I believe that s behind us now, said Fuller, who said he s about to sign loan papers with a local bank for the more than $20 million project. He said he ll make the name of the lender public when the deal is signed.

According to one of the most recent proposals, this could be the site of a swimming pool in a future Cedar-Lee-Meadowbrook redevelopment. CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio City Council plans to devote its Monday (Feb. 8) meeting to hearing both development proposals for the Cedar-Lee-Meadowbrook site.
The public is invited to submit online questions and comments for those presentations, preferably in advance of the 6:30 p.m. meeting, which will be aired via YouTube. A link to view the upcoming meeting is available here.
