World Bank made this known in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the loan is aimed to boost Nigeria’s efforts to reduce poverty.

The immediate past Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson and newly sworn in Senator for Lagos East, Adetokunbo Abiru, have unfolded their legislative agenda for their constituents and Nigeria generally. This is as two other newly elected Senators, Cleopas Moses (PDP Bayelsa Central) and Professor Nora Ladi Dadu’ut (APC Plateau South), were also sworn in yesterday. Speaking to journalists separately after taking their oaths of office and allegiance, Senators Dickson and Abiru said collaboration with other federal lawmakers in finding lasting solutions to the problem of insecurity in the country is the number one item on their legislative agenda.
Senate President swears in Dickson, Abiru, other senators-elect

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, on Tuesday, swore in a former governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, to represent Bayelsa West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
Others who were also sworn in were Cleopas Moses (PDP – Bayelsa Central); Nora Ladi Daduut (APC – Plateau South); and Adetokunbo Abiru (APC – Lagos East).
The lawmakers were sworn in at exactly 11.04am shortly after the commencement of the plenary.
Two of the newly sworn in lawmakers, Nora Ladi Daduut and Adetokunbo Abiru replaced the Late Senators Bayo Osinowo; and Ignatius Longjan who represented Lagos East and Plateau South before their demise in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
