U.s. Border Patrol agents apprehended two men and a woman with her two children early Thursday morning.
Remote camera operators watched a man being lowered by rope from the border fence about 3 miles west of downtown Calexico. The remote surveillance operators than saw a second man being lowered and noticed that a small child was clinging to his back. A third adult , a woman holding a child , was lowered from the top of the border fence. The camera operators saw three smugglers on the Mexican side of the border with a ladder. They also had the rope used to lower the five. Agents were able to take the three adults and two children into custody. The 32-year old woman and her children , a 2-year old girl and a 6-year old boy , are undocumented immigrants from Venezuela. The men , one 28 years old and the other 31 , are also from Venezuela , and are not related to the mother or kids.

U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the El Centro Sector arrested two Yemeni men who were identified on a terrorism watch list.
On January 29 , 2021 agents arrested a man for illegally entering the United States about 3 miles west of Calexico. A background check revealed the 33-year old man from Yemen , was of the FBI s Terrorism Watch List as well as the No-Fly List.
The second incident occurred on March 30 , 2021 when agents arrested a 26-year old man from Yemen about 2 miles west of Calexico. A background check revealed that the man was also on the FBI s Terrorism Watch List as well as the No-Fly List.

(Increase in illegal border crossers).It is being reported by the Yuma Sector Border Patrol.
The increase is not from Illegal entrants from Mexico or any Central or South American Countries. The increased number of illegal border crossers are from the countries of Bangladesh and Uzbekistan. The report says some of the illegal border crossers say they are coming to the United States looking for work. Most, however, are saying they are crossing the border illegally into the US out of fear. Fear of persecution or torture because of their race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion. Others fear persecution because of sexual orientation. One of the largest problems for Border Patrol agents is communication. For the most part, the agents are spanish/english bilingual, but very few are fluent in any other languages. Border Patrol Assists Baby Published: 13 January 2021
U.S. Border Patrol agents stopped a group of illegal border crossers Tuesday afternoon and determined a seven-month old baby with them needed medical attention.
The incident occurred east of the San Luis Port of Entry at about 3:00 p.m. Tuesday. A Border Patrol agent noticed that the baby had an exposed stoma and , after an EMT checked the baby , determined the baby needed medical attention. The baby was transported to a Yuma hospital and then flown to a Phoenix hospital for specialized care. The baby is a citizen of Costa Rica , the mother is from Venezuela , the father is Cuban and two siblings in the group are from Venezuela. The mother accompanied the infant to Phoenix while the father and two other children remained in custody in Yuma.
