A good user experience (UX) goes deeper than visuals and how applications look it’s creating an entire experience that is meaningful, usable and delightful for the end users.
Now in its second year, the UX Design of the Year category at the GeekWire Awards will recognize one startup for its well-designed user experience. This year’s five finalists are Boundless, Joon, Qumulo Core, Tagboard Producer, and Voodle. Last year’s winner was Skilljar.
Voodle, a Seattle, WA-based asynchronous short video platform purpose-built for remote teams and the new workplace, raised $6m in funding.
The round was led by Madrona Venture Group and Vulcan Capital with participation from M12, Cisco Investments and Hearst Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to drive product innovation and expand its headcount – including executive leadership, sales, marketing, and engineering – as well as grow native customer segments, including the support for key tech industry roles, such as management, sales, customer relations, human resources and more.
Led by Forest Key, CEO and Founder, Voodle is a short video app for business teams to capture, share and discover important business moments as they happen where they work – home, office, or on the road.
