RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - DPS reports a Kilgore man has died after driving off the road into a ditch and striking a tree.
Saturday at 12:30 AM, troopers responded to a fatal crash on FM-2276 approximately two miles east of the city of Kilgore in Rusk County. The investigator’s preliminary report indicates that the driver of a 2007 Ford F150 was traveling south on FM-2276 when the vehicle drifted off the right edge of the roadway, the driver overcorrected back to the left and traveled across the roadway into the east ditch and struck a tree.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - They are the world’s best-known collegiate drill team; an American phenomenon that calls East Texas home. And East Texans will soon have the opportunity to take a photographic journey through their history.
The Longview Museum of Fine Arts will soon play host to a photographic essay celebrating 80 years of the Kilgore College Rangerettes.
Photographer O. Rufus Lovett first started capturing Rangerette magic while working at Kilgore College in 1989.

KILGORE, Texas (KLTV) - The East Texas Oil Museum is holding an exhibit featuring women in the US Senate during the early 2000s.
The exhibit, titled “Changing the Face of Power: Women in the US Senate,” features over 40 photographs taken by Melina Mara of these women in the Senate from 2001 to 2003. Some of the senators photographed are still serving in the senate today.
“It is National Women’s Month, so we thought what better time to celebrate the accomplishments that these women have had in changing history in the early 2000s,” said Olivia Moore, Manager at the East Texas Oil Museum.
