Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Sixth Season
Original air dates: September 1997 – June 1998
Executive Producer: Rick Berman
Station log:
DS9 had already dedicated itself to serialized storytelling by the time the sixth season rolled around, but at the end of the fifth they committed themselves to something more significant: a war. The Dominion War commenced at the end of season 5 and did not stop until the show did at the end of the seventh. To show that this was serious business, they didn’t even resolve the Federation losing control of Deep Space 9/Terok Nor until the sixth episode of the season, and the Federation didn’t even manage to make a strike in Dominion territory until the season finale.
Coinbase goes public: Why it matters to advisers
Coinbase introduces millions of people to the world of digital assets, pushing financial advisers to surf the crypto wave before it crests. Some advisers are still skeptical.

Coinbase Global Inc, the largest U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market Wednesday via a direct public offering with the ticker COIN.
As Coinbase makes its public debut, financial advisers are bracing to surf the crypto wave before it crests. The listing marks a watershed moment for digital assets that advisers have historically shied away from because of volatile performance records. Yet, demand from both retail and institutional investors is set to propel cryptocurrencies toward further gains.

Captain’s log. Of all the seasons of
Voyager to date, the fifth was the one that had the most literal forward motion. Thanks to a wormhole of sorts (“Night”), experiments with the quantum slipstream drive (“Timeless”), and a stolen Borg transwarp conduit (“Dark Frontier”), they made several jumps ahead, cutting their journey home by tens of thousands of light-years.
We got a new recurring antagonist in the environmentally impure Malons (“Night,” “Extreme Risk,” “Juggernaut”), and two old recurring antagonists, as the Borg are still a problem (“Drone,” “Dark Frontier”), as are Species 8472 (“In the Flesh”), though our heroes reach a rapprochement with both 8472 and the Malon.

Station log: Quark proudly announces that he has obtained syrup of squill. Odo thinks that means the drought is over on Balancar but it turns out that there was never a drought, it was a story to allow the stockpiling of squill to drive the price up. But Quark heard that a prominent person on Balancar ordered a pair of Ferengi rain slippers, which he wouldn’t need if there was a drought. So Quark ordered several cases at a cheaper price, threatening to expose the scheme to the entire quadrant if they didn’t. (Of course, he just exposed it to the entire bar…)
