Oxford United in the Community offering mental health sessions

OXFORD United’s charity has been awarded more than £2,000 by a Government grant, to run sessions designed to support mental health for women. Oxford United in the Community was awarded £2,380 by the Football Foundation, with funds being used to launch weekly sessions beginning on July 16. The sessions will take place at Easington Sports Football Club in Banbury, from 2pm to 4pm, and are free for women aged between 16 and 30. Chris Lowes, head of Oxford United in the Community, said: “We’re pleased to partner with Oxfordshire Mind and Easington Sports, and look forward to delivering football activity and mental health support sessions.

Three Liberty hockey teams pursuing long-awaited national titles this weekend » Liberty News

April 14, 2021 : By Ted Allen - Office of Communications & Public Engagement Liberty ACHA Division I men’s hockey senior Quinn Ryan (left), DI women’s sophomore Yannick Truter, and DII men’s junior Charlie Wilkie, all forwards, are prepared to lead the Flames and Lady Flames in St. Louis and Minot and Bismarck, N.D., respectively. It has been one year and one month since four of Liberty University’s five men’s and women’s hockey teams who qualified for the ACHA National Championships had their trip to Frisco, Texas, canceled by COVID-19. This weekend, after a shortened season played mostly in the spring semester, three of those teams are renewing their national championship dreams, with the DI and DII men’s squads pursuing their first titles in St. Louis, Mo,. and Bismarck, N.D., respectively, and the top-ranked DI women in Minot, N.D., in search of their third consecutive crown.
