Letters: Housing, zoo leaders, Special Olympics
Letters to the Editor
great, but work still remains
Kudos to Columbus City Council member Shayla Favor and her peers for passing a ban on sources of income discrimination during the pandemic as a tool to promote additional housing options.
Now the hard work begins. In order for the legislation to succeed, the Columbus business community needs to team up with government and civil rights organizations to support fair housing education training for landlords and tenants. Marketing assistance needs to be provided to promote the goals and intent of this ordinance.
With success, the citizens of Columbus and Central Ohio will benefit from increased opportunities for economic integration, enhanced employment, additional educational choices and safe and stable housing.
