Londeen s to keep small-town charm as store changes ownership Massive inventory reduction sale to happen at Londeen s
CHAPMAN - Londeen s has been owned and operated by the same family for over 80 years in downtown Chapman, and as of last Wednesday, the hardware and furniture store has new owners - Rick and Kim Johnson.
The store carries everything from apple cutters to zippers, featuring the motto - If we don t have it, you don t need it. The Johnsons are excited to keep the Londeen s Hardware and Furniture store going into this new chapter. Eighty years ago when they first started, there was no Dollar General and Walmart, so Londeen s kind of carried everything, Rick Johnson said. As time has gone on in the last 20 years, people don t think about going to a hardware store to buy a set of dishes or a glass bird or greeting cards that is more like another store like Walmart.

A Tigard, Oregon man was arrested on Friday after officers say they found three loaded handguns, heroin, methamphetamine, drug sales paraphernalia and an improvised explosive device inside his car.
Chad Curtis Loynachan, age 29, had a previous felony charge that prohibited him from having firearms, according to a press release from Yreka Area California Highway Patrol public information officer Greg Perkins.
Two of the loaded handguns were later determined to be stolen, Perkins added.
As of Wednesday morning, Feb. 10, Loynachan was still listed as an inmate at the Siskiyou County Jail in Yreka on several drug and weapons-related charges. The amount of his bail was not listed.
YREKA, Cali. – A huge stretch alongside I-5 flooded with cars, going nowhere after Cal Trans shut down the interstate southbound in Yreka. Many were still stuck in Yreka Wednesday afternoon wondering when they’ll ever get to their destination.
“There’s nothing you really can do cause you’re just waiting, waiting in limbo,” said Jozef Namoa who has driven a truck for 4 years.
He’s used to hazardous winter conditions in places like Wyoming, but he didn’t suspect he’d get caught on I-5 Wednesday in Siskiyou Co. as he made his way to Southern California.
“Sometimes you get stuck out there for 3 days, it’s pretty crazy,” said Namoa.
