Former NSG chief JK Dutt who led 26/11 Mumbai counter-terror operation dies of COVID-19 Mirror Online / Updated: May 20, 2021, 09:37 IST JK Dutt, the former NSG director-general, passed away due to complications arising out of COVID-19. Jyoti Krishan Dutt, a 1971-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the West Bengal cadre, headed the commando forces during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. He breathed his last at the age of 72 in the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. He passed away today at 3:30 pm on Wednesday after suffering a massive cardiac arrest, reported a news agency quoting family sources. Dutt is survived by his wife, a son, who works in Noida, and a daughter, who is based in the US. ....
