Seeing megastars such as Cruise, who has starred in some of the biggest films of the past 40 years, is a bit of a rarity in Yorkshire. However over the years Bradford has played host to a number of stars as filming descended on the district, which has been used as a backdrop for some extremely successful films.
The Harry Potter cast lost another member this week as it was revealed beloved British actor Paul Ritter has died after a secret battle with a brain tumour.
Ritter was just 54 at the time of this death, and his passing has plunged the entertainment world into mourning.
He played wizard Eldred Worple in 2009 installment Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and his death marks another loss of a much-loved star of the film franchise.
Some of the biggest and best known stars of the wizard films are no longer with us so we now look back and remember the actors who enchanted us with their movie magic.
