MD Creatives launch project to delve deep into the history of dance MD CREATIVES, has launched a new project to shine a spotlight on the proud history and heritage of dance and its performers in the region. The Dance It Your Way project aims to reach those that have been touched by the arts, in particular dance, over the years. MD Creatives are keen to hear stories past or present from Liverpool City Region residents of all ages about how dance has changed their lives for the better. Whether you glided around Liverpool’s Grafton Ballroom in the 1940s, enjoyed nights out at Cream or the 051 in the halcyon days of the 90s, or as a millennial have been brought up on flash mobs, Gangnam Style and TikTok - everybody has a story to tell.

The house on Fowler Street was a huge three-story Victorian terrace just off Breck Road and nearer to Anfield than Goodison Park It belonged to my grandparents, who d lived there throughout the war and it was always full of people and cousins and noise. The cellar had been the bombshelter during the blitz and there was a big grid over the front step so you could escape if the house was hit. My mum was one of eight so at one time there were 11 of us living there. It was great fun.
