IF YOU wanted to go dancing in Brighton in the 1980s there were plenty of places to choose from, but where better than the Pink Coconut?
The club in West Street was a Mecca for people looking for a fun night out – and over the years it welcomed its share of stars.
In a previous life, the Pink Coconut was Sherry’s, the dance hall so famous it is even mentioned in Graham Greene’s Brighton Rock.
It went on to become Paradox, Creation, Project, Tru and, most recently, Hedkandi.
But its dancing days are over and the site is being demolished to make way for a new development with a hotel and flats. ....
